Modified through acetylation, significantly enhancing

Offers outstanding thermal insulation and superior stability compared to many hardwoods & softwoods.

Paints and coatings last up to twice as long as on other timbers.

Though more expensive, Accoya offers the best overall long-term value.

OUR HARDWOODS
We typically offer Sapele or Utile - sustainably sourced tropical hardwoods that balance performance and aesthetics.
• Naturally strong and dense;
highly resistant to wear & weather.
• Often finished with translucent coatings to highlight natural grain.
• Enviromentally responsible sourcing-FCS and PEFC certified.

Softwoods, but not for external joinery...
Previously common but no longer recommended for our Highland climate.
• Modern softwoods lack the durability of old-growth timber.
• Often fail within 10 years without meticulous maintenance.
• We do not offer softwood for external joinery due to its high risk of premature failure.
Softwoods are offered for internal joinery.

Reduces sound transmission. Great for urban or noisy environments

Double Glazing
Our double-glazed units feature two panes separated by a warm-edge spacer, with an argon-filled cavity and Low-E coating as standard

Laminated Glass
Two panes with a resilient interlayer. Stays intact when broken - enhances safety, UV and sound reduction.

Triple Glazing
Three panes for superior insulation and noise reduction. Ideal for extreme climates; heavier and costlier.

Toughened Glass
Heat treated for strength. Ideal for impact-prone areas.

Low E-Glazing
Standard on most units, reflects heat back into the room while allowing natural light in.

Heritage Double Glazing
Designed for listed buildings with traditional astragals.
